These scoops are a vivid example of how differently fire blesses things in a wood-fired kiln. All 4 items are made of the same clay and glaze and fired in the same kiln, but were in different places inside the kiln. As a result, they look completely different. Unbelievable, right?

Scoops used in a tea ceremony for retrieving tea leaves from a bag or storage jar, presenting to guests, and shuffling into your favorite teapot.

Scoop dimensions: 18-19 x 6 cm / 7,3 x 2,4 in

These pieces are handmade by ceramic artist Raneta Coolakova and fired in a wood kiln by Petr Novak.
